hero.

my hero is my mom, i dont know what i would do with out her she got into a car accedent about 18 years ago and she has gone through so much and also she really is a strong person and she never gives up, she always knows what to do in tough situations, i tell her pretty much everything and she always understands. that is why my mom is my hero! (:

One year left..

I cant even start to imagine what it would be like if i only had a year to live, i think that most of my time would be planing my funeral. I would really treasure all of my time knowing i don't have much longer, i would live everyday like it was my last..I wouldn't let a day go by of me doing nothing. if my family knew i only had a year to live everyone would treat me differently. I don't know what i would really do if i only had a year unless it actually is happening to me. I think that it is so sad that some people actually have to go through this not knowing when they are going to die, not only them but there parents also knowing they don't have much time with there child. I hope i never have to go through this. 

history.

1. One cause of the civil war is economic and social differences between the North and the South.
2. Battle of Gettysberg, there were alot of people killed that they had to end the war.
3. One influencial person was abraham lincoln, because he freeed the slave.  

Interview.

Question #1: What were your first thoughts when they grabbed you and took you on the boat?

Response: I was scared and i didn't know what was happening.

Question #2: Do you have family at home?

Response : yes i have two wonderful kids and a great husband, and they were so scared when they found out i was a slave.

Question #3: What made you want to escape so badly with this little boy?

Response: well of course when i found out that i was a slave, i wanted to try to escape, and i felt for this little boy when he came up to me i remembered my kids at home and how much i would miss them if they were gone, so i thought that i should make his mom happy and return him, also i thought i should tell them to move far away because they will be looking for more people to take.

Its Monday, today is so boring, and i don't want to be in school, I'm tired. I just want to go home, i have had a cold for like 3 weeks now. I slept over at Joanie's house last night and we didn't go to bed till like 11 and that is late for me because i usually go to bed at like 7 every day of the school week because i am just so cool like that. I hope that I have no homework today because i think homework is a waste of time, we are in school 8 hours, with 70 min classes, and we cant just go home and relax? I cant wait to get home because today i don't have any homework so far, i just want to go home and watch t.v and go to bed. I really don't like Mondays, I'm fine on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, but i don't like Sundays or Mondays. I am SUPER happy that spring break is only like a week away, and i already have all my plans figured out! I'm not going to Florida like i planed but that is okay i will be there in like 2 months.

Well im sure if we get a bunch of slaves to help us out we could find a way to get out and maybe even over power!

What do you mean surprised?
Well usually most people don't survive these many years, my master just keeps me around because i do what ever he wants because my main goal is to free all those slaves in misery.

I thought that it was interesting that all of the slave states were so close together, also I thought that it was weird that more people were killed with disease rather than a riffle, which kind of shows how much different the times are, knowing that we have so much medicine for almost anything. Being a women dressed up as a guy in the war would be kind of scary. I think they wanted all of us to now this because maybe rumors or something was getting spread around and they wanted everyone to know what was really going on, or when people are writing papers about stuff like the civil war, they might not find some of the information that they do in this magazine. it was interesting to read and to find out more than i knew about the civil war. If our school had a 10 facts that they didn't know about the school i don't know what i would put in because we have a lot of things that no one knows about.
