Patriotism
Does patriotism still matter today? I think the answer to that question is obvious, of course it matters! What would life be without patriots? Patriots have been playing an important part for a long time!
Yes, I think that patriotism still matters today because a patriot is someone who is loyal to their country. If there wasn’t anyone who cared, what would happen to the world? Not all patriots fight for their country however they can also do many more things to show their appreciation, such as clean up and save water, or even start a program for people who are homeless. Patriots want this country to be a better place, so they will do the best they can to make it a better place!
Patriots don’t just show their support to America, they also show their support to the army because without the army who knows where we would be today. Patriots sometimes send out cards to the troops, this is good because the troops are probably very happy to receive a card saying "thanks" this also makes them fight harder because they know that they have someone back in America who appreciates all that they are doing. Sometimes patriots join the army because they are willing to give everything they have to America.
Patriotism has gotten stronger since 2001. I think that people should realize what our troops are doing for this country! Everyday people are out in the field dying for us and this country! I also think that everyone should be safer Police officers, fireman, and people on
planes are making sure that everything is safe for people. This is showing appreciation for our country because patriots don’t just care about the country but the people in it.
This is why I think that patriotism still matters, and it will continue to be that way for many years. Think about it, without patriotism what would this world be like, probably not good. Without patriotism would the people who are fighting really care about what they are doing or would they just think "No one cares so I'm not going to care?" These are all of the questions you have to ask yourself next time you have doubts about this country.
